Types of Industrial Effluent Treatment Plants

Electroplating industry has been categorized as a pollutant industry primarily due to presence of highly toxic contents such as chrome, cyanide etc. at the same time if an industrial effluent treatment plant is carefully designed and operated it may be possible to recover many of the precious metals such as chrome from the effluent, which will not only make the treatment efficient from pollution control point of view but also make the treatment cost effective. Akar has designed industrial effluent treatment plant and supplied equipment for pulp and paper industries waste water treatment. Seen above is a tissue paper unit in which Akar supplied 40 Mters dia. Clarifier mechanisms and aeration equipment apart from designing aeration system for the same.

One of the most oily and slightly complex domestic sewage treatment plant components is treatment of water and solid waste contained in wastewater from large capacity kitchens. Restaurants, air caterers kitchens, hotels and other large capacity canteens' and kitchen's sewer lines often get choked with solids and oils released from kitchen. A careful treatment process needs to be adopted so that these wastes are not left improperly attended. Akar has carried out many projects involving treatment of wastewater from kitchens. There are nay systems specially developed for kitchens such as oil skimmers, solid pulper or disintegrator. This equipment crushes solids left in the kitchen effluent water. There are vegetable pieces, leaves etc. these are crushed into pulp so that pump impellers do not get jammed and there is less load on the treatment plant.
